Integrated Health Professionals is the Physical Medicine Division of Sparta Medical Associates, led by Dr. Gary Mascilak, director of physical therapy, and Dr. Tom DeGasperis, director of the chiropractic division.
Integrated Health Professionals is a unique multi-disciplinary facility offering chiropractic and Physical Therapy Rehabilitation. They specialize in the education, prevention, and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Their services include, but are not limited to the treatment of sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation, manipulation, gait analysis, orthotic fabrication, and all phases of pain management.
Dr. Gary Mascilak is a Chiropractic Physician and Licensed Physical Therapist with 25 years of experience. He is director of Physical Therapy for Integrated Health Professionals. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of UMDNJ, and a Suma Cum Laude graduate of National University of Health Sciences where he received a scholarship for academic excellence. Dr. Mascilak has completed his orthopedic training and is board eligible for a Diplomat in Orthopedics (DABCO). He received his certification as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Dr. Mascilak is one of only a handful of P.T.-D.C. practitioners in the state.
Dr. Thomas DeGasperis is a Chiropractic Physician with over 20 years experience. He is Chiropractic Clinic Director at Integrated Health Professionals. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Nutritional Science and received his Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College where he received the Napolitano Memorial Award of Excellence. Dr. DeGasperis is certified as a diplomat of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. This is the highest degree in the Chiropractic profession, and he is one of only 180 others that have achieved this honor out of 55,000 chiropractors in the country.
The Doctors at the facility, Thomas J. DeGasperis, D.C., C.C.S.P., and Gary J. Mascilak, D.C.,P.T C.S.C.S., have authored journal articles and have lectured nationally on orthopedic and biomechanical disorders of the lower extremity and spine, and are co-owners of The FIT Experience.
